John Trawick

Since 1995, John has focused his practice primarily upon litigation relating to matters involving construction law, employment law, business law, and real estate law. John has represented business entities, community associations, and individuals in a variety of cases in state court and federal court, and he has also represented clients in arbitration proceedings and in administrative proceedings involving the Florida Department of Business & Professional Regulation (DPBR), the Florida Division of Administrative Hearings (DOAH), the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), and the Florida Commission on Human Relations (FCHR). In 2007, John was awarded board certification by the Florida Bar as an expert in construction law, a distinction obtained by only a handful of attorneys in the Florida Panhandle.

In the Pensacola community, John is an active member of Pensacola’s Downtown Rotary Club and he served on the Santa Rosa Island Authority Steering Committee, whose members were charged with the task of reviewing and guiding the creation of a master development plan for Pensacola Beach. John recently served on the Board of Directors for Ever’man Natural Foods, a Pensacola co-operative which provides the largest variety of natural and certified organic products within a 150-mile radius of Downtown Pensacola, and he previously served on the Board of Directors for the Lakeview Foundation.

John is an alumnus of Tulane University, where he graduated with honors in 1991. In 1995, John obtained his juris doctorate degree from the Cumberland School of Law, where he served as a Teaching Fellow and as the legal research and writing editor for The American Journal of Trial Advocates. These days, John and his wife, Karla, stay busy raising four children, who range from elementary school to high school. When John is not in the office or watching his kids’ sporting events, he can usually be found fishing or surfing in the Gulf of Mexico.

John will focus his practice primarily in the areas of construction law, insurance law, employment law, business law and civil litigation.
