26 Aug Community Associations May Now Recover Rents from Tenants
The Florida Legislature has recently provided some useful tools for community associations in efforts to collect unpaid assessments. Sections 718.116(11) and 720.3085(8) of the Florida Statutes now permit condominium and homeowners’ associations to demand payment for future monetary obligations related to the property from the tenants of those owners who are delinquent in the payment of assessments.
